i think that miraculous healing is quite an expensive procedure
but it is a chekhov's gun that i have seen mentioned so many places

expensive in time and attention
resources which God would typically prefer to use in ways that improve society for everyone

but under the right circumstances
with the right spokesperson
we could say
hey, look, you want God's medical technology?
universal healthcare for everybody on earth first

i know what kind of people become medical doctors, at least in america
in the physics department, they had a joke that many of them loved

physics saves lives
how does physics save lives?
physics keeps idiots out of medical school

if physics can be used to convince doctors
that it is in their self-interest
to go and use their skills where they are needed the most
eg repairing cleft palates and cataracts in the developing world
rather than spending all their time
hoarding money so they can go buy a coastal mcmausoleum
that is an extortion scheme i am willing to be a party to

i get the impression that main reason i have medical problems
the sin that God committed against me
was letting the demon that once lived beneath everyones feet know who i was
and as my life went on
when that demon saw how i compared to its own avatar
i was damaged in fits of envy

i have had frequent bouts of inflammed lymph nodes in my armpits for much of my life
not since that demon died

i also gots lots of canker sores when i was younger

i met that other avatar only briefly
but that relationship started my writing career

we didn't find a cure

yeah, the sensitive part of a microphone is usually right near the tip
